Advocacy

Gender-based violence is one of the most pervasive and yet least-recognized human rights abuses in the world. As many as one in every three women has been beaten, coerced into sex or abused in some other way – most often by someone she knows, including by her husband or another male family member.

Rape is the only crime in which the victim is double violated first by the entire crime and then the society; it is the only crime by which religion, culture and the attitudes of the society turns against the victim (Survivor).

We Partner with community stakeholders; traditional rulers, market women, artisans, LGAs, CDA’s, primary health centers, religious institutions , schools, organizations and other groups to raise awareness, intervention, preventive measures and their role as respondent in their various communities.
