CSP Monday Agbonika is a seasoned police officer of 23 years experience, which spanned investigation, administration, police public information, operations and now divisional police management. During this period, the officer also had international exposure with the United Nations, where he operated along with other nationals from over 39 countries of the world, with honours and medals. Since the introduction of Community Policing in Nigeria Police, the officer has carried on the crusade with much enthusiasm and zeal, in the effort to form a formidable police/community partnership that is problem solving oriented, aimed at improved quality of life, service delivery, police visibility, accountability/transparency and robust police/public relationship. The British Department for International Development (DFID) had sponsored 2 projects, Security Justice and Growth (SJG) from 2009 – 2011 and Justice for All (J4A) from 2011 – date, in which the officer played a vital role. During the period, many initiatives were introduced bordering on partnerships, gender based violence and domestic violence, mediation, legal advice scheme, youth programs, school outreach, improved detention procedure, human rights, capacity building, investigative skills, counter terrorism etc. The officer has won several international and Nigeria police awards for excellence. He is a member of the (DSVRT) Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team.
